Delegates, staff, legal counsel, and the public gathered in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and were joined online by others during the February 12, 2025, Annual Business Meeting of the Counseling Compact Commission. The agenda consisted of reports from the various committees, approval of the Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2024, and review and approval of the Rule on Fees, Bylaw Amendments, and the Travel Policy.
Nahale Kalfas, legal counsel for the Commission, provided the required annual governance training.
Executive Director Searls reviewed the election timeline and introduced the candidates for the 2025 election. Candidates are Kim Speakman of Tennessee for Chair; Tobi Zavala of Arizona for Secretary; and Dr. Jennifer Jordan of South Carolina, Dr. Denauvo Robinson of North Carolina, and Carol Staben-Burroughs for the two Member at Large positions. Electronic Ballots will be sent out on March 4, 2025, to all Delegates and the winners will be announced on March 12, 2025. Executive Committee Members elected to office will serve two-year terms beginning on April 1.
