Washington, D.C. joins the compact

B25-0287 has become law in Washington, D.C.

The nation’s capital joins 37 states that have previously ratified the Counseling Compact, allowing professional counselors licensed and residing in a Compact member state to practice in other member states without the need for multiple licenses.

Online applications for privileges are anticipated to open in late summer or early fall 2025.
