Missouri Now Live

October 19, 2026. 10:30 a.m. ET. Missouri has become the eleventh state in the nation to begin issuing privileges under the Counseling Compact, marking another significant milestone in expanding access to professional counseling services across state lines.

Missouri began issuing privileges on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. ET. With the upcoming issuance of privileges, eligible Licensed Professional Counselors will be able to practice in Missouri using their compact privilege, reducing barriers to care and improving continuity of services for clients who live, work, or relocate across state boundaries. This step advances the Compact’s mission to increase access to high-quality counseling services while maintaining strong public protection standards.

Missouri joins Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wyoming as the eleventh state to operationalize the Compact by issuing privileges. Additional member jurisdictions are actively working toward implementation, with more expected to begin issuing privileges in the coming months.
