The compact has grown even larger. In recent weeks both South Carolina and Minnesota have joined the compact. Both states were able to get the language approved right before the end of their respective legislative sessions. The legislation is effective July 1, 2024, in both states.
On April 2, 2024, Governor Hobbs signed into law Senate Bill 1173, making Arizona the 34th member of the Counseling Compact.
